Random Acts of Kindness: Friday Challenge!

Want to know the quickest and easiest way to put a little good into the world?

For today's challenge, go out of your way to do something nice for someone else. It doesn't have to be a grand, complicated gesture! Sometimes it's the smallest, seemingly insignificant actions -- smiling at someone while you're waiting in line, asking the bank teller how their day is going, cooking your family a healthy meal -- that can be a huge deal to someone having a rough day.

Need some inspiration? Check out Random Acts of Kindness. They have hundreds of suggestions, including:

  • Use a reusable grocery bag (Easy peasy!)
  • Send someone a homemade card (Mail that isn't a bill? Best surprise ever!)
  • Donate some clothes you haven't touched in years (Spring cleaning, anyone?)
  • Turn the lights off when you leave the room (Get a pat on the back from Earth!)
  • Become an organ donor (Maybe you'll save a life! That's superhero status!)

Give it a try! Did you take the Random Acts of Kindness Challenge? How'd it go? Give us the scoop in the comments.

Have a great weekend everyone!

"Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why."

Are you happy? At this moment, are you living the life you'd hoped for?

Do yourself a favor: Take a moment out of your day today to slow down...take a look around...and ask yourself if you are where you want to be in life. These periodic reassessments help us to stay grounded, they give us perspective, and they keep us moving toward our goals.

"Learn to appreciate the things you have before time forces you appreciate the things you once had."

Why not take some time this weekend to appreciate the good in your life? Whether that means letting a loved one know how grateful you are for their presence in your life, or taking some time out of your daily routine to look for the changes that arrive with spring, give yourself the opportunity to express gratitude. Not only will you feel better, but it may help improve someone else's day, too!
